Research

As a member of the CELSIUS/WASA collaboration in Uppsala I have studied meson production in pd collisions. The focus has been on omega production in pd --> 3He omega, but since the data contain all sorts of reactions with 3He in the final state, eta production and multipion production have also been object of my study. Recently, some signal of the eta-pi0 production has been observed and it will be exciting to see what we can do with those data.

My supervisors during my graduate studies are Professor Bo Höistad and Dr. Jozef Zlomanczuk.

My thesis, defended on May 22nd, 2009, can be found here.

Gender issues

My dear friend and former colleague Agnes Lundborg and myself made a study about gender perspectives on the situation for Physics Ph. D. students in Uppsala University. The report also became a book, printed by Uppsala Universitetstryckeri.

We have recently been awarded with Uppsala Universitets Jämställdhetspris 2009 (Uppsala University Gender Equity Award 2009) for the report.

In 2007, we were invited to write a short article about the report in the portuguese journal Gazeta de Fisica. We wrote it in english but it was translated and published in portuguese.

Talk given at the 2nd Workshop of the Nordic Network for Women in Physics, Lund, Sweden, November 2006: Dandelion Physicists

A few years earlier, we made a project about female undergraduate students at the department of radiation sciences: read the report in swedish, or the abstract in english!

Read also the questionnaire; appendix1.

At the Women in Physics in Sweden conference, May 2004, we contributed with a poster about the project. You are most welcome to download it and put it wherever you like!
