In addition to the guided tour of the magnificent 17th century castle of field marshal Gustaf Wrangel there is a small and interesting temporary exhibition "Royal friendship" based on the exchange of letters between the Swedish king Gustaf III and the the Russian empress Catherine the Great.
The conference dinner will be served on the boat on the way back to Uppsala. The menu features Swedish marinated herring (with schnapps of course), elk steak and cloud berries. The excursion and dinner are included in the conference fee.
