The picture shows how the runs selected for the WIMP filter and analysis are distributed over the years. The region in lighter green in 2003 is a part of the year with many test runs, but where there were still some normal runs that could be used for analysis. Details of the different years follow below.
The selection of runs to include in the filtering was done by looking at monitoring reports, and in some cases also the monitoring files.
Following the ususal blindness procedure in AMANDA about 20% of the data was selected for use in optimisation of the cuts. This was done by taking the runs ending on 0 or 5.
Details on number of events and livetime were taken from the web tool of Christian Walck.
The trigger was changed during the year. Up to run 3270, the string trigger condition was 6/9 in strings 1-4 and 7/11 in the rest. From run 3270 it was set to 6/9 everywhere. The whole year is treated uniformly after retriggering (simulating trigger after removing bad hits) with the original trigger setting.
