About me
I've been a PhD student in AMANDA since 2001 and got my licentiate degree (halfway to doctor) in 2004. In October 2005 I left for maternity leave, and has been working part time since spring 2006. I'm in the process of giving my thesis a final polishing, and will defend on June 15. My supervisor is Olga Botner. In December 2003 I went to the South Pole to do detector debugging and calibration.
Research
The thesis is going to be about a search for a signal of dark matter (WIMP) particles accumulating in the centre of the Earth. To do this, I'm using data taken in 2001-2003, including events registered with a special trigger sensitive to lower energies. (No such signal has been detected.)
