The idea behind having a network for women in physics in Sweden is primarily to exchange information and knowledge between and about women physicists. A long term goal of the network is also to work for an increase in the number of women studying physics and working in the field of physics research by identifying gender barriers in the career paths of women in physics and by working towards removing such barriers.
